This Privacy Policy describes how the VideoInfo app (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles information when you use our application on your Android device. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

Data used only on your device:

• Media files you select: When you choose a video or image file through the system file picker, the app reads only that file (and its metadata, such as resolution, codec, duration, EXIF data) to display information to you. We do not collect, store, or transmit the contents of your files to any server.
• App preferences: Settings you choose inside the app (for example, language) may be stored locally on your device. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Data that may be collected or used by our analytics provider:

• Usage and analytics data: We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example, which screens are viewed and which actions are taken). This may include general usage events, device type, and similar non-personal information.
• Advertising ID: Our analytics provider (Google) may collect or use your device’s advertising ID (e.g., Google Advertising ID) for analytics, measurement, and attribution. We do not use this ID to show you ads or to build ad profiles. The app does not display any third-party advertisements.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Show you technical information about the video or image you selected (e.g., format, resolution, duration, metadata).
• Remember your in-app preferences on your device.
• Improve the app and understand usage patterns through analytics (handled by Google Firebase).

We do not use your data to show you ads. We do not sell your personal data. Any use of the advertising ID is limited to analytics and measurement by our analytics provider, not for ad targeting by us.

3. Data Storage and Processing

Processing of your selected media and preferences happens on your device. We do not operate servers that collect or store the contents of your video or image files. Your media files are not uploaded to us or used for analytics.

Usage and analytics data (including data linked to advertising ID, if any) is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase terms.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage and analytics data. Google may also collect or use your device’s advertising ID for measurement and analytics. We do not control how Google processes this data; please see Google’s privacy policy for details.
• Google Play: The app is distributed through Google Play. Your use of Google Play is subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms, which we do not control.

We do not integrate other third-party advertising or tracking libraries. The app does not display advertisements.

5. Permissions

The app may request access only to the specific files you choose via the Android system file picker. We do not access your entire storage or other apps’ data without your explicit selection.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require registration. Use of analytics (including possible collection of advertising ID by our provider) is subject to the same limits; we do not knowingly use such data for advertising targeting.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
